  • Torrents, the home for millions of downloaders across the globe, which deliver anything everything from music, games to movies. And its here the speed which matter the most as most of the downloads available in torrents are in the order of gigabyte. The internet is filled with a variety of ways to optimize the torrents, but the most important one is to join a private torrent tracker, which can shed some bucks out of your pocket.

But how else can you speed up your torrent rather than going for a private torrent. Here are some tips form Olivier Chalouhi leading BitTorrent client developer.
    Seed
Seeds play an important role in the speed factor. As more the number of seeders you have the more is the data thats been downloaded, so its always good to play your part in seeding.
    Torrent Factor
The torrent should have a right balance between the number of seeds and number of peers in order to gain greater speeds and hence selecting the right torrent has a crucial role.

    Connection Optimized.
Make sure that you are not firewalled as firewalls eats lots of traffic by opening up your incoming ports or by enabling UPnP in your router.
    Upload Speed
Upload speed is a crucial factor and it should be a balance. Its all about give and take, upload speed should be not too low or too high. Ideally you want to set your upload speed to be 80% of the maximum possible line speed.
    Get Friend Boost
When you create a network of friends on Vuze, you can mutually agree to seed a particular content. That is, if one of your friends has a torrent that you want, you will be able to directly use a portion of their bandwidth to get it. And it all counts to your bandwidth and speed.
