Apple approved vlc media player in apple store. Any body can get this vlc player on apple store.
According to Applidium, the creators of VLC for iPad, it will be available for download for FREE from September 21st.

Just downloaded and installed vlc media player for the ipad and its a very good app. Considering that its free, its probably the best video player for the ipad.
